Vibrazioni (blacksmithed furniture from recycled oil drums)
Steel can be any shape in skilled hands. Passionately opposed to a mass-production industrial system, Vibrazioni is pioneering a working process that completely distorts the initial aim of the metal. Vibrazioni’s world is the world of the blacksmith, where countless little fire chips sparkle in the air in the making of gates and grates and frames. Hot flames. Greasy aprons. They are smoky and pungent places with the odor of burning iron. Welding is magic, and these are enchanting places where new life is forged from old. Vibrazioni’s world is the world of reclaimed materials. Metal drums painted with lively colors and peculiar printings offer infinite chromatic combinations and surface textures. Cleaned and empowered by the hands of expert and skillful workmen, these drums become more than metal. They are magically transformed into functional works of art. Each is initialed and numbered, and of course colors and dimensions are customizable. Ask imoderni for details. Like the artisans who make them and the people who will eventually own them, each of this company’s products are unique. They have their own soul and a personality which can be defined as the sum of what we know and how we feel about their transformation. Reclaimed & forged by the hands of blacksmiths.
